Theme: Christ the Spiritual Foundation
Scripture: 1 Peter 2:4-5, 9-12 NIV
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.
Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

More about the retreat
All BCS events have a primary focus of Bible study, worship, and prayer.Windermere:
Three-day annual retreat in the Lake of the Ozarks at the 1,300-acre Windermere Conference and Retreat Center. Usually the first weekend in June, this conference proves to be a spiritual supercharge for all who participate. The weekend activities includes: dynamic speakers, praise & worship, 6:30 a.m. prayer and testimonies, dramatic presentations and/or gospel concerts, mass choir, free time, and fellowship with other believers. This low-cost weekend includes all meals, lodging, and conference activities.

A highlights CD of the retreat, containing a the retreat presentation, hundreds of pictures and the retreat newsletter can be obtained by purchasing a year's subscription to Word&Way. This newspaper is a blend of news and faith resources and the newsletter runs on the back page every other issue. The cost of a year's subscription is $16.
