Outreach:
Starting in 2005, each year at Windermere we have chosen an organization to support. In Windermere participants collected $270 and five moving boxes of hygiene articles for patients at the Northwest Missouri Rehabilitation Center (St. Joseph, MO) unable to provide for themselves.
In 2006, we filled two large boxes filled with cirb sheets, diapers and other supplies, along with $500 in gifts for Intercession, Inc., a group home for unwed mothers started by participant Sharon Mays-Feguson in Milwaukee, WI.
BCS Newsletter:
The Black Christian Singles of Missouri produces a regular newsletter in partnership with Word&Way.
Word&Way is a biweekly religious publication which provides religious news, opinions and faith resources presented in a balanced presentation. For more information about Word&Way, visit their Web site. The Black Christian Singles (BCS) newsletter appears on the back page of Word&Way once a month (every other issue - except in months with three issues).
Each issue of the BCS newsletter is designed to give you information to support your faith and your ministry: testimonies, devotional thought, teachings, and ministry ideas. It also keeps readers up-to-date with details on upcoming BCS events.
Annual subscription is only $16. If your church purchases 10 or more subscriptions, the price drops to $13 per year. You can subscribe online by registering on the site and filling out a handy online form. Be sure and include that you are subscribing to the BCS newsletter edition.
